Afternoon all,
Well, I've been waiting for a clarification on this for coming up to 3 months now and still not heard anything so I thought I'd poke people on here instead.
Last year, the thought came up with some of the players about forming a Elementalist Ritual team, and after checking in the OSP book that I'd be able to take the list after earning my Enchanting training I volunteered to be a Contributor for this. However, having gone through the core rule book the wording of the requirements for the Summoning lists suggests that I would be unable to take the list as I have no ranks in Ritual Magic.
OSP book, page 22:
Elementalism
Requirements to use: Healing CS, Light Incantation or Enchanting OS.
The character may cast spells from the Elementalism list to the highest level that they can cast in any
of the prerequisite spell lists. If they also have the CS Ritual Magic at any level they gain a bonus
when summoning elementals.
Core rule book, page 49:
Summoning - To gain access to the Summoning list, you must buy one of the basic magic skills it (or any applicable Specialisation) is based on and Ritual Magic; the Summoning list then adds to your basic list. Necromancy requires Corruption, Shadow magic or Dark Incantation. Elementalism requires Healing, Light Incantation or Enchanting. Theology requires Incantation (of any sort) and Daemonology requires Mage Craft
(of any sort).
Could I please have a clarification on this ruling?
